We offer waxing services for women and men in Bridgeville and the Pittsburgh area. Our Wax Specialist uses low temperature, high-quality soft and hard waxes that are gentle, more comfortable, efficient and have long lasting results.

Waxing is one of the best ways to temporarily remove unwanted hair. It is more effective than shaving because it removes the entire hair from the root, not just from the surface of the skin. Over time, and with repeated waxing, unwanted hair grows back finer, softer and sparser.

Be sure to avoid sun exposure and any heat treatments for at least two hours before waxing and twelve hours after waxing.

We regret that we cannot wax if you use Retin-a or Accutane.

Body hair should be at least ¼ to ½ inch in length prior to the hair removal process.

benefits of waxing

Improving Skin Health

Waxing exfoliates the skin which will help your skin cells refresh and renew faster than without exfoliation. Exfoliated skin is healthier skin.

Smoother Skin

Waxing helps revitalize and rejuvenate the skin which will help improve the look and feel of your skin.

No Razor Burn

Professional waxing is known to cause little-to-no irritation to the skin unlike shaving that may cause painful razor burn and irritation.

Softer Hair

Hair grows back slower and more sparse. That hair will become thinner and much softer over time.

Stop shaving two weeks prior to your appointment

 - Do not consume alcohol or caffeine before a wax (both increase skin sensitivity)
 - Do not tan (either in the sun or spray tan) 24-48 hours prior to waxing
 - If using Retin-a or Differin, stop use one week prior to waxing appointment
 - You can still get waxed if you are pregnant, just note that you will be more sensitive due to hormonal changes
 -  Under 18? Parent/guardian must consent & be present for service(s)
Note: Waxing services will not performed on anyone currently taking Accutane or if you have taken it within the last six months.

What to avoid following a wax and why:

- Sweating/exercise
- Tanning beds/spray tanning
- Bodies of water (bathtubs, hot tubs, swimming pools, lakes, ponds, rivers, etc.)
- Intimate activity

*Follicles remain open up to 48 hours. It is best to avoid the list above for at least 24-48 hour to prevent further irritation.
Exfoliate 24-48 hours following a wax (this is important to keep the skin smooth & aid in ingrown hair prevention)

Consistency is key: Hair grows in different cycles & it is best to be consistent with waxing appointments to achieve desired results the more you wax, the easier it will be after three to four waxes, all hairs should be on the same cycle.

DO NOT shave in between waxing appointments! Shaving will start the process all over again & it will feel like your first wax all over again. Not to mention, shaving can cause itching, irritation, & ingrown hairs.
